So a friend of mine made and kept her last year's resolution of blogging for 365 days of time with her son and I thought that just *maybe* I can do the same. So as the title says...here's to hoping. I'm starting with Day 4 and hope to catch up ... hope...
DAY 4:
Today was a fun day. The kids and I went to bootcamp this morning which is something we all enjoy. Me because it means less time for them to destroy the house and maybe get some kind of workout in too. Them because they love to see all of their friends and enjoy participating in workouts as well. My little Eva has become quite a hit lately as she's more alert and getting pudgy which let's be honest, everyone likes a chunky baby. I feel like I'm beginning to get into more of a routine and as I was telling some of the girls at bootcamp today, the one crucial piece of information I can share with anyone considering to extend their family is always try and prepare the day before. There's no more last minute trips or impromptu playdates for this household. Nope. I've learned that maintain my sainity I MUST try and plan our days out the night before so that we can stay scheduled. Granted, life always takes unexpected turns but at least I'm slightly prepared.
Skylar is becoming more and more sassy with each passing day. I actually enjoy it and at times have to remind myself to not let her see me laugh or smile when she's giving me the what for. The things this girl says is just amazing. One of her favorite things to say to me lately is "uh, HELLLOOO" with her hands on her hips and eyebrows raised. She's a mess. Today she spent her day running around with her girlfriends and having fun. I had her all dressed with a cute dress and nice tights because in my mind, she's a girly-girl. But as I'm on my third set of very painful mountain climbers, I look up to see this "girly-girl" of mine running as fast as she can and then diving on the floor sliding about 3 ft. Yep, didn't take her long to realize that her tights served as another purpose outside of being cute...they were now a tool in helping her slide around like a crazy woman. After the girls left she was playing with one of her favorite "boyfriends" and they were chasing and jumping and teasing. Then I heard it...something I haven't heard in a long time - "missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me!" Yikes. Still haven't told her daddy about that one!
Bryce is also growing like a weed and has become a HUGE fan of bootcamp lately because I've let him venture out with the "big-kids." He seems to bring a smile to everyone he's around. He loves to dance to the workout music and go around helping the mama's count their reps. I can't tell you how many times I hear "Sarah, does Brycen ever NOT smile!" He really is such a happy guy. After bbc, we headed to the "germ-tree" (no need to explain that one) and again, he was happy to walk around and talk to every parent there. He literally went in a huge circle telling each person "hi" then pointing to his shirt and saying "choo-choo train! CHOO-CHOO!" Thankfully pretty much everyone returned his smile and said hello. Nothing frustrates me more then an adult that wont even make an effort to say hi to a child or even smile. After fun at the tree, we grabbed some delish cookies and headed to papa's house.
There we got to visit with Papa and Aunt Petety which was a real treat since we never get to see her. Did I get pictures you ask? No! My Aunt Susie wouldn't be surprised in the slightest but I usually always keep my iphone handy for quick shots but nope, fail! The kids had fun wrestling with Papa and of course Skylar tried to talk Aunt Petey's ear off. We all had fun.
My favorite part of the day was spent nursing my sweet girl and after she fell asleep she held my hand slightly in hers. It was such a sweet moment and sadly the only pic I got from today. Sorry it's blurry...camera phone.
