Day 67: Just Because I love You...

There are days that my husband will completely amaze me. Today was one of those days. I was busy trying to get the house cleaned up and then nurse chubba when he pulled in the driveway. He snuck around to the back of the house and I heard him talking to our kids which I assumed was because he brought them home a "prize" which is something he does often. Next thing I know Skylar and Bryce come in carrying a dozen long-stemmed red roses and I felt like crying. But he didn't stop there. Nope. He then had Bryce hand over a dozen rainbow colored roses for his sister and to tell her that he loves her. His own way of trying to teach Bryce to be good to the women in his life and that you don't need a special occasion to bring home flowers. I really felt like crying and I can feel it rising up now. He's a good man.

Our day up to that point was filled with some fun time with friends. First at bootcamp, then at the park. Skylar loves playing with all of the little ones but today she was missing some of the older kids too. It's hard for me to watch her feel like she doesn't fit in because all of the babies are so much younger then she is and she really wants someone to play with. She did good though and only had a few moments of shedding tears. My favorite part of the day was having my boy say (without being prompted to) "thanks for unch mama!" Such a sweetie. My plan was to let them play hard so that they would in turn sleep hard but unfortunately it didn't really work out that way. Bryce only slept for 45 minutes. Darn ear infection. Tomorrow we have a busy day ahead of us so time to rest up!
