I've made it to day 100?!!! Whaaaat! Got my party hat on now!
So I mentioned before how little miss has sprouted 2 teeth already; one on Saturday, one on Sunday, but I have NOT been able to get a picture of them despite my repeated efforts. She's stingy in sharing them with the camera. With nursing however, she'll let me know right away that they're still there and sharp as ever. OUUUUUCH! You would think after nursing 3 kids that maybe you'd either get use to it or loose sensation down there after all the gnawing, but no such luck! She bites harder then any of my kids and the other day, I screamed LOUD because it hurt so bad! I felt bad though because she was so scared. Her bottom lip shot out and then a little whimper and then straight-out screaming! Amazing how I'm the one who gets bit but suddenly feel bad for hurting her feelings! "I'm sorry baby. Here ya go - bite away!" Anyway, here's the best pic I have so far but I WILL succeed an getting a better one once she gets that little tongue of hers out of the way:
Today was like any other typical day. Take Skylar to school, come home and get the kiddos dressed, start a load of laundry (only to restart it again later), and head to bootcamp. Bryce was pretty excited because he hasn't been to bootcamp in a while. I was a bit nervous though since he hates being in his stroller and with being gone so long, it's like a training process all over again. But he did pretty good. As long as I continued to remind him that if he sat still then we could play at the park. So he did good....at sitting still, at least. But what's a boy to do when he's told to just sit in one place. Find SOME WAY to make a mess. By the time I got him out of his seat, there were crunched up crackers, smeared peanut butter and chewed up strings of gum everywhere! I still have no idea where the gum came from but honestly don't want to think about it to hard because the possibilities scare me. Boys. Eva normally sleeps during class but today she was happy to stare at the clouds or send an occasional smile my way.
After bootcamp was done, Bryce got to play a bit as promised. But instead of playing at the park like we agreed upon, he wanted to spend most of his time trying to harass the ducks. The lake makes me so nervous because he's just boy enough (i.e. clumsy enough) to chase a duck and fall right in. But he was having so much fun and doing his best to ignore my "Bryce. STOP right there. Bryce I said STOP. BRYCE! Come here!" Amazing kids ability to act completely deaf at that point. Now had I mentioned "cupcakes" the boy would've dashed over lickety-split. I let him have his fun though and snapped a few quick pics in the process..
Notice that mischievous little grin on his face?! That's the look that scares the crap out of me because it's the look that says - oh, I'm going in mom, just watch me! Finally I was able to corral him away from the ducks and head towards the swings. He waived and said "bye ducks. See yew waiter!" We had a few pushes on the swing, a few more rounds on the slide, and then it was off to lunch and nap time!
After his nap, he helped me prep the ingredients for dinner and then we made a yummy "milkshake" which is actually a protein smoothie but the word "milkshake" sounds so much more appealing. He loves helping mama out in the kitchen.
We had our snack and our smoothie and headed to get big sis from school. Can you believe she only has 19 days of school left?! She only goes 3 days a week so that leaves only 19!!! I've been actively searching and signing her up for Summer programs to keep her busy and me sane. I've signed up for Marlins swim team (totally excited about this) and still need to sign her up for soccer camp and VBS. Bryce is also going to start swimming at Fins on Wednesdays since Skylar is in school. Gotta figure out how that's going to work when she's not in school though. And then there's a soccer tots program that he can do but again, Skylar will just have to sit and watch and not sure how she's going to take that. Decisions, decisions. She's also talking TONS about Kindergarten and how she and her friends are SO excited to go to the big building. We've talked to her before about Pre-K transition but I'm guessing it hasn't sunk in yet. I'm waiting until the end of the year and then I'll mention it again before school starts. Wish me luck because I'm anticipating a huge meltdown!
