Today was "silly glasses" day at school and naturally I waited until the morning of to go frantically digging through the toy box to see what I could come up with. Thankfully, I found these little puppies
...which she seamed happy enough with so we went with it! Of course she did break off one of the sides which caused a huge meltdown but I convinced her that it just made them even more silly. Today there were a lot of facebook posts about paying tribute to the runners of the Boston Marathon and one of the pages suggested wearing a racing shirt and then posting a pic. So before leaving for school, I snapped this quick pic of Skylar and I showing our love....
The racing shirt she's wearing was dirty and that was a bit of drama too. "Mama, this STINKS!" Sigh. "Just hold up a heart sign and smile!!" Today would normally be a "restore" day but since my girlfriends were going to be sporting their racing shirts at bootcamp, Eva and I decided to go there instead. And it was TOUGH! So glad I went because it really is true that you'll never regret going, but you will regret NOT going. Eva did so good as this was her first time sans car seat. She just sat in her stroller, looking around at everything while chewing on her bottom lip. Such a good baby girl! Here's the crew... and baby girl...
There's a new page circulating called "Run for Boston 4/17" and it's HUGE! The idea is to wear yellow or blue and go run by yourself or with friends tomorrow. Then when you're finished, post a sign that says "Run for Boston 4/17" with your city and state. They're compiling all the photos posted and making it into a book to send to Boston. So tomorrow the girls and I are lacing up our tennis shoes, wearing our blue or yellow, and running The Waterway. It should be fun and I'm proud to be a part of such an amazing family of runners~
