So in the wee hours of the night, 11:58pm to be exact, my cousin Aaron had his first son -Liam Patrick.
Isn't he a cutie?! I'm amazed at his size because this little guy is 3 weeks early! Doesn't look like it though does it. He's 7lbs 9oz which is just 1oz shy of Eva-cakes who went to her due date. I'm so very happy for Aaron and his wife, Siobhan. There's nothing quite like your first baby. I wish they lived closer so I could go snuggle him a bit but pics will have to do. Welcome to the world, little Liam.
In other news - today was my first day at trying out a cycle/run circuit and it went pretty well. Matthew joined in on the fun too! The original plan was to drop the kids of with the "rents", borrow my mom's bike (Matthew calls it the Pee Wee Hermann bike), ride for a few miles, then run 2 miles. But when we got there, their bike was in bad shape. It's definitely seen better days and the tire would not stay inflated. So new plan - I headed out to ride while Matthew stayed behind for a few, then he was going to start running while I headed back and then we'd switch. Not exactly spending time together but it worked. After making the switch, I expected him to just take off on the bike but no - he just paced right behind me. I told him it was fine but he wouldn't have it, he wanted to stay right with me. Cute. So my stats were 4.3 miles on the bike (averaging 5min/mile) and a 2 mile run (averaging a 9:58min/mile pace). I was pretty happy with that although need to scale it back if I'm going to get to the full 8 miles on the bike that I'm supposed to do for my tri. Eeek. One more month!!!
