Day 91 and 92

Monday:
Today was April Fools day and I saw many of jokes and pranks being played. First up was my Auntie coloring a fake moustache on Jack's face while he slept. Then a friend of mine shared an ultrasound image of twins. So I felt it was my turn to give Matthew a little April Fool's humor. Only, I have horrible timing. I decided to wait until he left for work and then text him this...
...saying "I'm shocked you didn't see this on the bathroom sink." Seems harmless and funny enough, right? Problem one - he was driving. Problem two- he was pulling a 32' trailer while driving. Like I said, poor timing so he failed to see the humor in it all. Whoops. I also sent the same pic to my mom who knew right away it was a joke - no fooling her. But she sent it to my dad who also almost drove off the road, reading it. So moral of the story - no more April Fools jokes about being preggers because I nearly took out my husband and my dad.

So outside of the not-so-funny joke, we had a pretty typical Monday filled with laundry and chores. I did my best to get caught up but let's be honest, that'll never happen. I actually enjoyed this day when most times, I'm looking forward to Tuesday because it's a school day. But since we just got back from camping, I felt I didn't get to see them all that much and just enjoyed spending time with them. We had a pillow fight, tickle fight, and even managed hide-and-seek although Eva and Roxy always give away my hiding spots. Daddy brought dinner home (bless him) and then we all tuckered out early.

Tuesday:
Kiddos went back to school today and Skylar was looking forward to telling her friends all about her camping trip. Bryce was just a fuss-boat and fighting tooth-and-nail about going. Once we got there he calmed down and didn't even wave goodbye. Stinker. Lil miss and I went to Restore and everyone in the nursery loved on her and commented on how good she always is for them. Normally we would go out to eat with friends or on a run but mama wasn't feeling too well (Lord, please don't let it be that stomach bug) so we came home and cuddled instead. Look how big and beautiful my girl is getting..
Now normally when I pick Bryce up, I'm in workout clothes. Okay - I'm ALWAYS in workout clothes but today I was able to manage a quick shower and even some makeup and threw on just a plain cotton dress. When I got to his class he saw my head peek in and like normal he came darting for the door. Once he got around the corner though he stopped short, looked me up and down and said "oooh, mama a PRINCESS!" Amazing what a dress and a little makeup will do. LOVE that kid. We all laughed and I gave him a big hug! Because of his sweet compliment, I took him to play at the park while we waited on sissy to get out...here's our fun pics...

Later that night, after we tucked everyone in - Matthew and I both cuddled Skylar for a long while and she was just beaming! She made jokes with her daddy and snuggled on me. It was such a tender moment that we often pass up because of responsibilities or sheer exhaustion. Love that growing girl.
