Day 105: Boston Marathon Tragedy

Today was a sad day for Boston, and for the rest of the country. Everyone knows that the Boston Marathon is an iconic race with thousands or runners and spectators. The runners that are competing didn't just go online or mail in registration. Boston is a qualifier and only the elite can compete so what was supposed to be a huge celebration turned to tragedy right at the finish line. My heart aches for those affected and I pray that they find the person(s) responsible so justice can be served. A friend of mine shared this on facebook and it touched me...

“The reason we race isn't so much to beat each other, but to be WITH each other.” ~Christopher McDougall
There is a certain camaraderie amongst runners and this rocks you to your core. Another friend of mine mentioned just how great the feeling is coming up to the finish line (and it really is a feeling you can't describe) and having that ripped away from you in such an awful way is just tragic. Praying without cease for all of Boston and beyond.
